ORDER, 2000

SUSPENSION OF SERVICES
1. INTRODUCTION
- 1.1. This Notice is issued pursuant to section 54 AMBD Order and applies to all licensees under the Registered Agents and Trustees Licensing Order, 2000 (RATLO).
- 1.2. This Notice shall take effect immediately.
2. DEFINITIONS
- 2.1 For the purposes of this Notice and unless otherwise stated:
- 2.1.1 “Authority” means the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD); and
- 2.1.2 All other terms and words used in this Notice shall have the same meaning as provided under the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam Order, 2010,
Registered Agents and Trustees Licensing Order, 2000 (RATLO),
International Business Companies Order, 2000 (IBCO), the International Limited Partnerships Order, 2000 (ILPO) and the International Trusts
Order, 2000 (ITO).
3. SUSPENSION OF SERVICES
- 3.1 The Authority hereby suspends and direct all licensees to suspend the following services :
- i) The incorporation and registration of companies under Parts III and XI of the IBCO;
- ii) The conversion of overseas companies and domestic companies into international business companies under Part XII of IBCO;
- iii) The incorporation or re-constitution of an international business company as Dedicated Cell Company under Part XII A of IBCO;
- iv) Establishment and registration of international limited partnerships under the ILPO; and
- v) Establishment of qualifying trusts under the ITO.
- 3.2 Save as otherwise provided under paragraph 3.1 above, all other international business services remain unaffected.
- 3.3 This Notice is without prejudice to any new directions given by the Authority to any Licensees.
4. PENALTY
Under Section 54(4) of the AMBD Order, any licensee who fails or refuses to comply with
this Notice is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000.
